Day 5/6: Layin' low

Our trip to Jerash and Ajlun was sidelined because I (Deidre) became pretty ill Friday night. I was up all night battling something my digestive system didn't agree with. It's knocked me down pretty hard; I didn't know I was capable of sleeping so long.
We checked out of the hotel early Saturday and drove directly home rather than visit Jerash and Ajlun. We may be able to organize a trip there ourselves on Monday or Tuesday; we'll see how things work out.
I'm beginning to feel better today (Sunday), but still spent the day at the house. Tom went to the "Wakalat" mall - he said I'd really like it, so we'll make a point of walking there in the next couple of days.
We did some laundry today... as you can imagine it line dries in no time at all!!
Later Sunday evening (after I'd originally wrote the post), I was well enough that we went for a short drive and stopped at the Wakalat area for some food at the Lebani Snack place... I had a fruit smoothie, Tom had a shwarma and Mark had a squeaky-cheese sandwich. Here's the gentleman offering up Arabian coffee upon entry... he likes Canada but is saving his money to move to the US:
Coffee... NOW!!!!
Just a slight shade of pale-green

  2. Incoming #2...I typed a comment saying that I was sorry you weren't feeling well, Toad; that I felt better that you were feeling better...and the Comment Box wet away--Poof! Look out the window to see if the sea parted, if there are any loaves and fishes washed up on the shore. Today I returned from Brantford/Oakville where "M" is staging for her camping trip into Algonquin Park.
    love you guys...Dad
